FEAR OF FLYING

Conquer your fear for good | Fly Happy

What is “Areophobia”?

Areophobia, a fear or phobia of flying, is excessive worrying about air travel and is often associated with panic attacks and claustrophobia.  Areophobia affects around 6% of the western world and approximately 3.5 million people in the UK. While this number refers to a severe fear, it is thought that up to 50% of us experience some degree of anxiety when we fly.

Why do people have a fear of flying?

Studies show that statistically, flying is actually the safest form of travel. So why are so many of us petrified of the idea of getting on a plane but don’t give a second thought to getting in our car or onto a bus?

Fear of flying, like all other fears, is not about the thing you think that you are frightened of at all. It’s not about “the awful turbulence” or “we might get struck by lightning!” It’s simply about how out of control we feel compared to how much control we believe we need in our lives.

What is “Fly Happy” and how can it help me overcome a fear of flying?
