Kirsty - Surrey

What was going on in your life that meant you decided to do the Thrive Programme?

I decided to go through the Thrive Programme as I love to learn and am always looking for ways to develop myself on a personal level. I also thought I could make use of what I learnt to help others.

What difference did it make to you going through the programme with the help of your consultant?

I hadn’t realised when I started the programme that I needed to work on my confidence and the way I treated myself, but Mary helped me recognise these were areas I needed to address. Working with Mary also gave me goals to work towards, and she supported me throughout the process – pushing me and challenging me where I needed it.

Did you enjoy going through Thrive?

I loved going through Thrive!

Was there a key thing in the programme that stood out to you? And if you’ve tried other interventions or therapies before, what made Thrive different?

I hadn’t tried other interventions or therapies before. When I started the Thrive Programme I was slightly skeptical however I cannot believe the transformation from the start of the programme to today!

What did you get out of going through the programme?

A clearer understanding of myself and the knowledge that I am a great person and have a very positive impact on my family, friends and colleagues.

How would you say that your life has changed by going through Thrive?

I’m much more confident in myself and my abilities. I can be honest with people without worry or analysing as I would’ve before. I’ve realised that I can do anything I want to. My life is in my hands and I’m going to make every day count.

What 3 words would you use to describe you and your life 1) before Thrive and 2) now having gone through the programme?

1) Lacking self-confidence, Doubting my abilities, Sad

2) Confident, Strong, Happier

Have other people noticed the change in you?

Most definitely – in a positive way!

How have your friends and family benefited by you going through the programme?

I’m a happier person and my enthusiasm is contagious. As I am more relaxed and spontaneous I can see friends and family at short notice rather than having to plan-ahead. And being honest stops awkward situations from occurring.

In what way is your company/business/career benefiting by you going thorough Thrive?

I’m having more honest conversations with my boss. I have presented to the whole business (300 people) and would happily present again in front of a large audience. My confidence and belief in my self means I am happy to interact with everyone in the company, regardless of their position, and to also take on new challenges.

What would you say to anyone who is thinking of going through The Thrive Programme?

I would say – don’t hesitate – do it! Make sure you complete the homework and push yourself. The more you put in, the more you get out. The change starts slowly and the first few weeks can be a little frustrating. Stick with it – I did and I love the new me!

What’s next in your life now you are Thriving…

To share my experience with others.

To take control of my life.

To remind myself I am a great person and I do so many positive things every day.

To be kind to myself.

To have lots of fun and amazing new experiences.
